This Mohican-language phrasebook is divided into separate pages for different topics. A topic page can range from a simple list of handy words and sentences, to a Conversation Module containing a full inventory of conversational phrases which can be used immediately in a social event or gathering of friends and family. The most important part of learning the language is to listen to the audio and repeat what you hear, over and over again until you have cemented and internalized the sounds in your mind. Each sentence is also written in Mohican with an English translation, however spelling is always secondary to hearing and translations between the two languages is not exact.

After learning one or a set of phrases, we encourage you to integrate the language into every aspect of your daily life. For example: having learned “oneewe” as the equivalent of thank-you, you can immediately replace the English with Mohican whenever thanking someone. Through practicing what you’ve integrated into your real life, the sounds and meanings will be forever memorable.

For more advanced learners, you can use the Mohican Dictionary to help you modify the content of the phrasebook sentences for different situations.
